Layers of incompetence is the only way I'd descibe it. Frustrating to say the least. As for your DIL, well - I'm dealing with a similar situation here too. Kabu termed it perfectly.  At least the Wings are picking things up!!

This has really turned into a frustrating mess for you.   It seems like one of those things that my Dad would have commented, "Oh well, a hundred years from now you will never know the difference."

when it come to the incompetence of others we have no defense, but patience. all we can do is listen and then pray for you.  most mothers would die for their children and leave their sick bed to help their children, and we continue to love and excuse them when they treat us in ways that hurt us.

Wow! Now I'm beginning to think that I was being too kind when I called them a "Mickey Mouse organization." I think Mickey Mouse would have done a better job! And if you don't mind me saying so, YOU should be your son's top priority, not just because of what you've done for him in the past, but because you're his mother, and that should trump anything else!

farms and she could throw a hissy fit or a "turn" which means she pretended to have a heart attack. and all her sons would drop whatever they were doing and rush to her side!!!! now how did she manage that??

I hope your son comes around and learns to stand up to the girl.  It can be awkward to be caught between 2 people on the spot, so to speak.  I hope it all resolves soon and you can leave Mickey Mouse behind and go to Disneyland!!

Sam it is difficult to be holding the intelligence when those you depend on are holding the reins of movement, but that is the case. I am very sorry about your son's girlfriend, she is rude to say the least.
