We do have our real life heros and scoundrels and, ad Kabu comments, it makes the charater more authentic. I'm sure your ex-boss would be flattered!

a talented writer like you darling will always call on the characters from

I dream about all the people in the jobs I had or did for myself.That's brilliant how you take those pedople and make them come to life in a story.

That doesn't surprise me! I think many of the people that people our past end up in our books - they would in mine, if I wrote any...
