Reading this reminds me of our federal and local governments where the different areas seek to spend everything or face those cuts.

I took the ferry many times from PEI to Wood Island, indeed I prayed for them. My brother Joe was a sailor on an oil tanker and it would have been terrible to lose him, he's 88 now. I'm happy you are going to write of sailing again my friend.

It always gives me pause to read of a boat going over - for some reason

it always feels personal, even if I don't know any who were aboard. Sometimes I think young men especially love the danger of a storm, the risk involved in driving through a snowstorm, etc. Testing themselves against nature seems built in.
