What a precious story. I'm glad I didn't miss it.
I'm so far behind in reading your posts it is going to take me a while to get caught up.

Pat the story of the week or the month perhaps the year goes to you.
Your well written piece has such a feel good story one just has to feel better about the World. perhaps that is why Mr. Graysome is so spoilt. One can't rescue them all so we have made this one rescue animals life as grand as we possibly can....and of course he is the ultimate opportunist.

I know that feeling, Mr. Graysome chose me from his cage in a crowded pet shop when I wanted him for Kabu. Your story is wonderful for me too.

What a great story! I really appreciate people who do something for abandoned and neglected animals! Our Bennie is a rescue dog as well; mind you, when he has been taken to 'jail' (the pantry), he may sometimes wish he were somewhere else...
