Difficult it is for many to adjust when one is out of work...Oh yes, the chase you write of has been a constant throughout time.

Re:Ray
No mine Ray she deigns to come in for a few minutes and then wants to go out. I just seem to acquire a cat never on purpose, one just arrives. I tolerate this one because she does not touch the birds,

I don't think he will look for work Marrise, but his wife might. Brr, a bit chilly on those beaches at present, they like looking around the antique shops and it is cheap digs along now. Thank you for calling.

Re: ChiffChaff
The ladies are the wily ones Wiley you are just Wiley. Yes Archie is kind to the old chap but cannot tolerate his foibles.

Re: Kabu
What's this singing about Kabu? Wouldn't you rather have a canary? No one noticed my nice clean floor, I have just mopped it again because the sister is calling in. Life's like that.

Re: CCT
Naut one lady said the cat looked like me, devious. Yes Archie has begun to tidy up already, but his mate rang today and asked me what his next job was, so I have two helpers now and only want to pay one.

Re:
Yes, some would have been very depressed Sam, but not much of a job getting up at one in the morning and falling over things in the dark as he has several times. No lighting at places,

I am sure it is a drastic change for him! Had he been able to plan his exit it would have been much different! I believe in time he will come to see the benefits of having his time and deciding what to do with it on a daily basis! sam

That puddy tat looks like my Bubbles - maybe a distant relative, whose ancestors didn't have the boat fare...Archie should enjoy his retirement and help you with the flowers...And your poem made me contemplate things...

Well, well - his retirement may help you both if he's hanging out at your place more and doing little jobs. Beats sticking with the FIL all the time!
Pretty kitty - looks like my grandson's Dora. In the poem, would that be nature...or hormones of the young causing those enticing mistakes?

"You will be able to have more time with your Father-in-law" LOL You sure know how to rub it in Bro. So your poems suggest the ladies Seek not the scent of the wily one who smiles and passes. How cruel.

Love the cat, too pretty!! If you keep telling Archie the benefits of being unemployed, he may just find some work again!! The Amazon gift sounds nice for one who has a use for tools. A trip to the seaside should cheer him up right away.

Archie didn't sound too enthused..:)
Is that his kitty? She/he looks...hmm, either hungry or naughtily full. High hopes can lift our spirits but the earth waits ever so patiently. Good, insightful poem, CC!
