UGH!! Never liked squid. I fear, except for the rice and veggies, I would have starved on that boat.

Yes, when I was in country I had to get used to many dishes my new wife would, I thought conjure up, and would close my eyes and swallow. I remember the flavors with a smile though...I will miss reading such posts of yours Naut, but I will always remember.

I love squid and I am believing that this way of eating it the marinating

it like this would spften it beautifully. I love squid bashed around, washed in the sea and then thrown onto a charcoal fire. Sigh! yum! and i too adore Sydney Rock oysters fresh in the shell with a squeeze of lemon.

Well Naut I love the taste of cockles in vinegar but they are little critters. It is just the thought of eating yek, No more cockles and squid YEK. I bet you would not eat a plateful  if your wife plonked it before you.

Saw a photo on MSN yesterday of a flying squid, airborne...

Wondered if you'd heard of flying squid.  I prefer to think of that image than the one of you and the crew slurping up fermented in feces juicy bites...
