I think perhaps it is all trying to help people who lost so much in the

Prime morgage fiasco....but actually i don't have a clue. I am just happy to see things slowly turning around for you dear one.

I suppose you're right. I've never heard of that either, but I guess that has to be a break of some kind! Usually the tax laws get more and more confusing every year!

Re: Re:

Sent the county a copy of the discharge of the debt and ask them to remove it! If they don't then file an on line dispute with all three agenies indicating that the matter is resolved and ask them to take it off. It might take time but you can eventually get it off your record. I had a company make a mistake in their reporting, it took two years to get it off but I didn't quit until I got it corrected. It may end up being a headache but you can get it off! It's better than waiting 7 years for it to come in my humble opinion. sam

For some crazy reason the IRS considers the money that was outstanding due to bieing under water is somehow income! It didn't make sense to me when I had my short sale but luckily the Feds carried the forgiveness over to this year! It won't last forever but at least we got to take advantage of it! As far as the other communication is concerned I would send them a copy that the debt has been discharged and let go at that! sam
