Pat
I completely agree that Willaim F. Buckley's 'wit and charm were absolutely undeniable;' what's more, conservative that I am, I never had the slightest desire to throw my shorts at him, LOL. However, the only novel of his I ever read, and whose name I forget, was badly wanting...But that, in the end, did not diminish my high regard for W.F.B...

Groan! I don't watch TV, so instead of ignoring commercials when I read, it would be work, both business and house! I just pulled an nearly all-nighter with Whirlwind, a very thick book by James Clavell, about a helicopter company servicing oil rigs in Iran, and what happened when Kohmeini gained power. Fascinating!! I believe I've read a Jack Reacher story too...can't remember which one.

Well to be honest Pat I so rarely watch television that the commercials are vaguely entertaining. I have taken a note of your recommendations though.
