I am glad that you explained the squeal...and it adds life to the tale
by writing it in. I can see the frantic work envolved and then the sudden calm the breeze probably welcome after such intense activity. Loving this, you Old man Of the Sea you!

When deep sea fishing out by Catolina Island we used squid for bait, I felt bad for them then too.
