Oh sweetie... you are so right and you thus have found how I write... late at night, when sleep refuses to come . I hope your night passage to blogit was pleasant and fruitful and you had a restful rest of the night.    Be well Taps... xoxoxo

It can be a form of therapy. There seems to be something of a sanctuary to be found in writing. Try not to think about the cold and the gun violence. Dwelling on negative things never helps!

There seems to be a lot of that happening recently! It defies logic for me! sam

Hi Taps!

I hear what you're saying and it is often difficult to grasp the horrible things some people do. Hope you get some sleep knowing there are still more good people in the world than bad. That's how I have to look at it.

Re: Kabu

Definitely not right.  Not acceptable.  Not decent.  Keep praying for return to peaceful "plowshares and pruninghooks."

Re: Justi

Of course you are right re: the bloodiness of the human heart.  Cain had no gun, but that did not deter him when his hatred got the better of him.  As a teen, I was horrified by the news of the Mau Mau revolt in Kenya and the horrible use of their pangas.  Man will always find something to use if he wants to kill.

Very well done. Yes sadness but we must keep going.  I know no time in history that was not bloody, before guns it was the knife in some form. It is as simple as each individual getting it together and as complex as to how that could ever be done.

I was hearing on the news about that young gal that was at the inauguration was shot in Chicago and they say the start of the new year is the worse its been in years with so many shootings, is it the media reporting so much all the time makes people get into killing.  There were two people shot and killed in PHX the other day and that is all they talked about all day was the shootings.  Report the story but dont keep going on and on about it.

Ah yes - those lovely hours where the bad is heavier than the good in one's mind...so we turn on the light and read, or head to the PC, or go cuddle the doggies. Terrible news about the little lad - this gun thing is out of control - something really needs to be done.

I expect you are fast asleep as I write this Taps, Not a care in the world. Funny how easy it is to sleep after lunch. I used to wonder how folk did that.

Here it was 15F, but there was a pale Feb sun out this morning when I took my doggie for his walk. I am waiting for Groundhog Day tomorrow, hoping he won't see his shadow, promising us an early spring...

Maybe it's the January factor. It does seem bleak this week.

Profiteers arguing over how many bullets in a clip, Walmart limiting quantities of bullets because they're selling out faster than they can re-stock. We're sick. Bring on the butterflies and honeybees, bring on sunny days.
