If he has a specific breed in mind, that's fine. But I think that adopting any dog will be beneficial to both of them! It's also been proven time and time again that pets do help in lowering people's blood pressures! That's why my wife and I have four cats!

He is attracted to a different kind of dog. The bottom line is whatever makes him happy and fits into his budget! sam

all those at the rescue shelter who need a home; there must be one that he can love. I know Graysome greets us at the door and after a nap and whenever he is separated from us for five minutes and it makes life much richer.

Lustor
I hope he finds a dog. I am not familiar with the breed you mentioned. I don't have one now but always did when growing up and when my children were home. I have cats now and I love them. I love long haired setters.

Never heard of that breed Right now I don't have a doggie of my own though my son's is often at my house and treats me as if he were mine too... That would be a good breed for your son and its not a very common one. He is a Shiva Inu... Not to large and not too small... truly the smartest dog I have ever seen and so loving! ( and no I do not get commision from the Shiva Inu's clan loll) anyway... I hope your son finds a doggie soon... xoxoxo

If I were going to get a dog for me, I would adopt a short-hair mutt. Mutts don't seem to be as hyper as hybrids, and often have less health problems, so they say. But, I don't intend to get a dog. I didn't say never as they say never say never, but as of now, I don't intend to get a dog.
