It does seem that something I like always ends up having some study released that says that it is dangerous to one's health...

I have been using sprays for years. You will find some sort of health ta-bu about anything and so very often they call back the finding within a few years or even months. If I need shortening of any sort I use Coconut Oil, it is not an oil but a solid and has health all sorts of good news about health.

It does seem to go that way; but, all products seem to take a hit on their ingredients from time to time! I have been using cooking spray for years myself! sam

I often use olive oil but
for Christmas I got those "Green" pots and pans set that don't require any oil and are better for the environment and health cause it doesn't give off bad fumes. The only thing I hate is they're not dishwasher safe!

Olive oil spray is the one that I like to use. It is the least
cancer producing.....and healthier by far than deep frying.

My wife usually likes to cook with either vegatable oil or canola oil, both of which are supposed to be more benificial than other cooking oils. Since your health should always be your number one priority, it wouldn't hurt to research the actual benefits associated with various cooking oils.
