- Go to Are the riots in Egypt a bad thing or a good thing?
I lean towards the riots being a good thing, Nautikos. At least the population is saying ot it is not interested in being dominated by Islam law, and it seems the army is determined to avoid any semblance of a civil war or destruction resulting from foolish religious strife. We shall see...

Personally, I do not know what they are waiting for, and wonder if the Obama party in Vegas today was not meant more as a distraction than a call to action.

I can not believe that trusting those "men" in the Egyptian army ( and I use the term Men loosely) is our "better option, and the sad thing is you are absolutely right. Given the choices we are presented with, they are the best alternative even though it is like putting a ban-daid on a cut that needs stiches, a temporary solution, not a very good one and destined to make things probably worse in the long run. I know you do not adhere to any particular belief as far as G-d is concerned Naut and believe me when I tell you that there have been times I have felt the same way, but this is one of those times when its "helpful" to have such a belief in a supernatural being that can take us out of the mess we have gotten ourselves into... and a mess it is. I truly do not forsee any "good" outcome. but :-) who am I but a silly head-in-the-clouds blonde (
), middleaged, wanabe poet ... hopefully better minds out there will figure a way out. If not... there is always G-d :-) Miracles have happened Be well xoxoxo
