Yes I expect they are pretty scary, but remember Harold is very tiny. Your young gentleman could have been posing for a photo prior to his enlistment. Of course as you know one had to keep very still for the photo to develop properly at that time. I remember when mother took us to have our photos taken, I still have it somewhere. We sat on a chest and the old photographer put a black cloth over his head after giving my little sister a doll to hold. Mother told me not to smile as one of my baby teeth was missing.

Wow!... That is some story CC... So much going on in there and I agree that when the Dragon starts breathing fire then the darkness will be iluminated and the Crock will like that...you know like down here in South Florida crocks stare at the light of aflashlight when one goes at night airboating in the Everglades . They stare into that light and get almost paralized and it is weird cuz the light reflects back and their eyes glow like headlights themselves :-) Can't wait to read more of these... It would make a great book! . BTW... it never occured to me that my guy in the old photo could have been going to war... you are right though... First World War was around then and probably a healthy looking young gentelman like him would have volunteered. Thanks... that gives my imagination an interesting side line :-) Be well xoxoxo

i think our dragon will be breathing fire soon and that will please the
grumpy croc. This is such a busy story, I understand after 200 years of this sort of nonsense, ...fantastic living, feeling tired and a little worn.
