What to say at a time like this... "sorry for your loss" seems so inadequate and cliche... and finding words to express our empathy is not easy. Let me just say that expressing what you feel... is good... for tears tend to soften the pain of others. Perhaps that is one thing we learn as we grow older, to let our feelings show, and flow, and blend with the feelings of others. My heart goes out to yours my friend. xoxoxo

CCT is right, Jay. In fact, keeping them all in can be more than just harmful. Voice of experience here. I'll be at a funeral today too. My grandson's paternal grandmother died suddenly, and my grandson, who is 14, is devastated. They were very close. Hang in there. Nice ode to your nephew.
