You remind me that I don't watch much TV any more. Actually, it occurred to me the other day to do a little survey to find out what the denizens of Blogit are watching, .i.e. what their favourite shows are. Then I'll tell everybody what mine are, and why, since I do have a few...
And I'm sorry to hear about your cataracts! My LSW has been suffering from them for a couple of years now, and can definitely no longer drive at night...

I think it is all those things that make it possible to relax and enjoy the story.
Interesting characters are the most important, arc ties everything together, the weaving together of arcs of characters and story. And I guess, that would be the plot. When any of that is weak or lacking, it is like the magic carpet bottoming out.

Sometimes a day like that is okay.
Do you watch plot, characterization and story arcs when you watch good TV, or do you just relax and enjoy the story?
