I lay here on my bed looking at your face. I know it so well, your roman nose, your fleshy mouth, your dark hair... and though I don't know your name there are so many things about you that I can tell by the way you sit there looking straight at me with those gypsy eyes full of fire and dare, those eyes that don't play fair for they hide behind the shadows of their lashes as if they knew they were the windows to your soul. I see it all in that face I know so well, that face that in my dreams I had seen even before I'd seen you there...so still, silently, intensely, constantly staring at me. But I know nothing much about what you felt or what you did back then when you laughed and loved and lived. I don't know which color your eyes would turn to on a rainy afternoon, if your heart burned with passion watching the moon, or if you loved one, or many, or none at all, I do know that like a forgotten glove left on an attic's window sill, or like the scent of what was that surrounds us when we use an old fan, there is an aura of yesterday about you, and a sadness full of wonder in your eyes, for though you are prisoner of a moment captured long ago your eyes, opened since then, have I am sure marveled at the world's change, at life becoming so different than what you knew it to be and yet staying in so many ways the same as when your photo, this photo, was taken and framed by who I am sure was a loving friend for in the back she wrote "I love you"and in a very sweet and skillful letteringthe date: "January 26, 1913" |

Nice! I did the same as Naut, and took the doggies out for a stroll under that beautiful moon last night.

How many heart broken faces has that big Moon seen...It was a beautiful
yellow disk here last night, just enough misty cloud covering to make it mystic, enticed me to go outside and dance in the Snow. I resisted!!

Beautiful! I just walked my doggie under that bright moon and those brilliant stars in a clear, cloudless sky, and it was magical...
