Monday, Monday evokes memories of The Mamas & The Papas, of course...! And I sure hope that you'll get out of your Big Chill soon...LOL! And yes, I have watched TOP GEAR occasionally - great fun, especially since I'm a bit of a car nut...

You sound like me and the TV. If it wasn't for hockey, I probably wouldn"t have one in the house. Good move, and good hat sales to you! Ah - I just knew 2013 was going to be a lovely year!!

Re: JimmyA,

The great thing is that I've had no real tv for a year now, and I only have to put up with having one for another 5 days, then I will be off the grid again.

Re: Sam,

Yeah, the waiting is good and bad... can hardly wait to move in, but the longer it takes, the longer I have to put cash together for one thing and another. I can do this... but not yet in style...!

Re: TAPS,

The PILLARS OF THE EARTH series is only the part about the cathedral, not the Stonehenge portion.

Let me know if he needs that hat... same deal as yours! Only, maybe I will put a tassel on his...  And he'd have some choice of color range.  Check out the 'hookery' set over on Flicker to see some of the other colors.  http://flic.kr/s/aHsjxnmsqt

So nice to read someone else's lament about "butchered" movies on regular TV. I tell so many people that there are certain movies, especially the black & white classics, that need to be watched unedited and uninterrupted! Don't worry . . . with a lack of TV for a week or so, you're not really missing a whole heck of a lot!

I love Shogun! I wish I had your dilemma! I am still waiting for a closing date to move! It's been nearly 3 months and nothing yet! Once you are in your new place all will be well! sam

This makes me want to read "Pillars of the Earth" again.  It has been a long time since I did and I thought it was so very interesting.  Didn't even know there was a movie or series of it.

Yesterday while I was packaging up Marianna's baby hat for mailing to her, Son #1 came in and I showed him both mine and her's.  He really liked both of them, but he totally fell in love with the baby hat.  To him it made him think of little Peruvian Andes babies in llama wool caps, or mongolian babies in yaks-wool caps.  He said that if it wasn't for Marianna, he would steal it.
