I have used credit karma for quite some time. And, I have found that the score they give is about 25 points lower than the actual score! So, I add that to mine when I get their up date each month and it comes very close to what any gets that pays when I apply for credit and most recently my mortgage! It was the same for my daughter, too! But, in the end it's the company and the one they use that counts! Also, the difference between the three reporting agencies can vary as well. Experian and Transunion will be within a few points of each other while Equifax can be substantially lower and other time higher! It makes no sense at times but it's all in the factors that each company used and they are very secretive about it, too! sam

I recently got a collection call for money owed by my ex-DIL who has been dead for five years. I was told that my name was on it for collection if anything happened to her. I told them fooey on youey. I had never signed such papers and knew nothing about them.

It's about the statute of limitations and so they lose out! In a way it's funny that they are not going to get their money because as I understand it the interest is so high that it's designed to gouge folks! And, women are the most susceptible to these rogues, too! I fear this far from over for you because collection agencies, at least those I have dealt with regarding my daughter's mess are beasts and stop at nothing to get their money! Good luck with all this! sam

Pay day loan places are notorious for this kind of action. In the days when I was down and out I used pawn shops. That way if I couldn't pay them back I didn't need to feel bad about reneging on my word. At the time, it was all I had.

Just follow what your attorney says...and um keep away from them sharks
if possible. As far as I can tell, they are always bad news.
