The poem was steamy, all right, but not what I expected.
My cousin Bob came home from that same region after WWII. He never talked much about it, except to complain about jungle rot attacking his socks.

The second stanza really strikes me and made me look at the first differently, knowing that the times were really really rough.

Reality kicks Jay it would be far worse if you had to endure this tomorrow. I sometimes think how on frosty foggy days I tramped round wet through delivering pariffin. Some old dears wanted it in pint bottles.
