More, sir, please...

One of my first editing jobs was for an elder gentleman who had retired after working some 50 years in Washington State's juvenile corrections system, and was writing a history of it from his experience.  I thought it would be just a bit tedious, but it turned out to be quite interesting.  (The first superintendant, in the late 1800s. was a musician whose wife did not love the Northwest, and he wrote her a song: I'll Take You Home Again, Kathleen. He never did.)

So far so good, but one thing puzzles me . . . was she a marine biologist's assistant that usually doesn't go out on the water? I mean, someone who has motion sickness probably shouldn't be riding roller coasters, no?

Oh and Gnome lore....mostly they do Hibernate in the winter but mine ...Sigh! well what with the Poker and the crows and the beer and too much gold .... and i suppose I spoil them.
