Re:
I dont think they report it as most active, or mean it in that way. I think they're saying (statistically) that it's one of the most memorable.

Hopefully 2012 was a turning point for humanity; where we began to realize that there is more to life than being the richest, the most celebrated, and that yes - one does reap what one sows.

I must admit, I am of an age now where many of the years seem to blend into each other, and I simply cannot remember exactly what happened when. Recalling the year this happened or that happened is easy for certain events, but I believe every year since the new century began has had its fill of activities, some more news worthy than others. For example, I can recall a particular celebrity passing away, but I will struggle on the date and say "Was that in 2004 or 2005?" And with all of the things that have been happening globally over the past ten years or so, it has become increasingly difficult for me to pin down an exact calendar year for those events! Yes, I have no doubt that many, many significant things occurred in 2012, but whether or not it was the most active year in history might be up for debate!

Only problem is that no one reads the times anymore as they only have one point of view. Personaly I think that 75, 80, and 2011 were much more active years. AT least for me, Ronald Ragean lovers and the world trade centers falling down, they were. 2012 is simply the begining of the end of freedom. That's why the times like it so much.
