We used to get hundreds of calls and I solved it all by accident. I bought a 'walkabout' telephone, you know where the dial pad is separate from the base. I set it to answer in two rings and hardly ever pick it up when it rings. It is also a message machine and I found those telemarketers don't like to leave a message right? We don't get those calls anymore, and when we do get a message we call the person back if it's a friend.......

I have been fortunate in that I do not get too many telemarketers or bill collection people calling.

THere was a time in my life when I just did not pick up my phone loll those collection calls were often and maddening It passed thank G-d and I am sure your calls will fade into a bad memory soon too. btw the poem I want your opinion to is right before my last one... Thanks sweetie xoxoxo

my number is only 6 months old and my cell no one has that It doesnt make me nervous because all the numbers are block and I just laugh when they keep calling and cant get through

My wife and I never, ever just arbitrarily pick up the phone anymore. We have our share of daily calls from various sources as well, and the caller ID doesn't always show a number accurately. You have to be careful. A lot of scammers out there!

That would make me very nervous. I changed telephone numbers a few years back and it took a long time for callers to stop calling for the former owner of the numbe.

The collection agencies will not stop for anything and they try to scare people in order to collect! I have gotten calls from them for other people and I have had my number for a very long time, more than a decade! I once got a call from a store in town and they said my number had been used on checks that bounced! I simply told them that I don't bounce checks, don't know the name on the check and please take me out of the equation! But, it took at least 3 requests to get it accomplished! The best way to get rid of the agencies is to pay any outstanding debts and bid them adieu! sam
