Amazing to end up making a connection of the advent of lead and the suppression of women in various societies. But none of that surprises me. I don't want to judge, and I try not to deviate away from The Golden Rule, but sometimes, when I read certain things about the world of Islam . . .

I was once married to a "good" Christian man who must have read
that bit from the Koran, because he quoted the Bible even as he raised his fist. He was a house painter by trade, and when I called him Hun I meant Attilla. Maybe he was exposed to lead in the house paint before latex-based came along.

It's just darned pathetic that such ideas exist still in this day and age. As Kabu said, education is important, but are they even interested enough to learn?? Other than education in military tactics, I mean.

I am so happy I am not part of their culture! I couldn't handle being suppressed! I pray they never get the grip on the world that they aspire to accomplish! sam
