Comments on Apps -- Scam. Scum, or Fun?

One bad apple doesn't usually spoil the whole bunch, so to say. It has taken me some time to get better at avoiding the scams and scum you so aptly described.  I am still recovering from my gifting this season as most all my giftees have birthdays around Christmas and New Years and I have been running around with it too.  Thank God I have no desire to see any Chainsaw gore although I did see the version 8 or 9 years back, in order to see what situations to avoid that could turn horrible.  That was enough for a life time.  If it looks bad enough, don't go in and move on, then send the Authorities out.

I'll have to admit, I don't deal with apps of any kind, regardless. But I can see how some of them can turn into scams. And I think that former blogger may have answered his own question . . . if you constantly write negatively like that, you're not going to get too many readers, with or without comments! But if you write things people enjoy reading . . .

I have read that before about Blogit, I guess because the pay is so low.  I had the birthday and anniversaries all in Dec myself included

Well I suppose if one failed to make cyber friends then Blogit would be a waste of time, but the only way I can see that you would be ignored is to ignore everyone else...

I totally agree Tap... This is mostly a nice loving place and after being almost a year away and coming back, I am here to tell you that I missed it, and when I say it I mean all of you that make it what it is, so much... True, there are other sites that offer more money, more recognition perhaps... but none that I have found where people are as warm as this one... I don't know how I got so lucky to find Blogit... but I am happy here.

I hope you are done with your laundry and were able to get to the library... Be well my friend... xoxoxo

That is what you get with a big family one of the many benefits. Another great post and I don't know who but a few I could guess but won't waste my time to say who about Blogit Scam. I love it or I would have been gone a long time ago. Just as you said we pray for one another I am not the least shy about asking fr prayer on Blogit.

Well, that attack went no where! LOL! I am with you on your take on Blogit! My daughter's birthday is on the 31th! Still makes it hard to get the shopping in when there are so many for you! OUCH! sam

Anyone can say anything...

and the disgruntled usually do.

We have three just-after Christmas birthdays: Dec 29, Jan 11 and 14.  It's a bit of a breather, though the 29th we have always had to be wary of making her feel short-changed.

I think you get out of life (and Blogit) what you put into it.

If you reach out, share a laugh or a learning experience, others will return the favor. As for apps - you don't need them if you don't have a mobil device (smart phone, Ipad, etc.) and I've gone fogey on those ideas.

Sorry Taps I am really a little bear, I know you are not real because you wear a chicken on your head. How funny if we were all imaginary characters, but who would pay the fees? Perhaps we are in the cloud and feel quite real to ourselves. I suppose you could have replied anonymously calling yourself the ghost of Blogit.

That's a lot of birthdays there already...I wonder who the former blogger is.

Although I would like to do it, it's impossible for me to read every post in here - lack of time!! Now and then I go exploring and pick up another favorite, but ALL the posts??? Nope. Unfortunate that the person had no readers. Disappointing for the writer. I have family members with birthdays on the 3rd, 6th, 7th and 8th of January too.....and Dec. 26th.

I'm lucky in that my secretary, a.k.a. LSW, keeps track of family birthdays - I'd be lost otherwise. (And it occurs to me that, when it comes to family history, it's the women in the family who are the historians, LOL...)

And I think the former Blogit member meant to suggest that Blogit is a scam in the sense that it doesn't draw in readers from outside Blogit...it's a 'closed circuit', as it were...Hence, it is virtually impossible to really make any money here, though there may have been exceptions. Of course, if those exceptions had spent their energy on other pursuits, they might actually be rich now...
