darling it is called going through your body of work and EDITING!!!
Now take the best of the poem and redo the worst and it will work. The photo shop thing is good because the hen on the figure is important.
Then post on Blogit for feedback and then put it into a scrap book dated when done and then when edited.
Scrap books the family will one day cherish.
Editing is good chucking is bad.

It's wonderful to hear this chorus, a symphony of the irresistible Voice of Reason! And I just know your heart will know how to respond...

"But this, Doctor Jones--
This is history! Go ahead, blow it up..." (Belloque, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK)
It isn't about the quality of the poem or the photo... It is about the delight of your descendants who will love it, because they love you, and they will not care that it isn't Pulitzer material. It is a bit of you, then. It is part of the whole.
What it might need is a new verse or even prose disclaimer, to put it in perspective.
Scrap-book! Brilliant idea!

A. You're not crazy. and 2, why not just make a scrapbook (scrapbooks).
The poem was fun, the lines descriptive, and your blog would do nicely for a blurb to post next to the photo in the scrapbook. I think you don't want to pitch all those memories so much as to organize them. That way, if you do decide to burn all those bridges to memory, you can do it efficiently. Or, if someone should come to help you with that project, it will be easier to pick and choose.
This from a woman who was once asked "Don't you ever throw anything away?"

LMAO!! A perfect way to start the day by reading this fun post. Of course, I went to read the previous one again...I agree with the others. It is definitely a keeper. I also agree with Naut - a little brandy in the coffee at 2 AM may just do the trick!

What I would do Taps is put the whole thing on the screen knock out the lines which appear to be weedy perhaps substitute some of the words. You see if you have the idea locked in it would not take too much effort too knock it into shape . You have a photo on your profile use that be bold.

Now I wonder if this is a bit deep for my very, very finite mind especially since you got Dr. Naut into this. Who did you say was crazy, you, Naut or is it me? Well okay now this is a fun post.
