That's a nice conclusion, TAPS. See? He needed hard evidence to prove his case! Good thing you took those pictures!

Re: excellent post and as i didn't even see any snow until I was in Europe when
Sometimes it's the simple things, Kabu. That must have been somewhat of a thrill seeing as how you had never seen snow before! For us here on the northeast coast of the US, this of course was an every winter event. As for throwing those snowballs, I must admit those days are probably over. My "pitching arm" just ain't what it used to be!

Re: Re: JimmyA
Actually, I did. I took my camera out there and took his picture beside the snowman that he had been trying to make, went in and printed him off a copy. He took it to his mother and she put it on the refrigerator for him. He loved it.

I was 17, and sis and I threw our first snow at each other, this is something I used to dream of doing.

Re: JimmyA
I'm sure you can, Wiley! I doubt that there's ever a shortage of snow up in Canada! That's why you're referred to as the Great White North! So . . . how's your throwing arm these days?

Re:
Well that wouldn't be very sporting, lustor! Unless I put his image on a pole that swayed back and forth occasionally. The fun was in trying to time his movements, and we still hit him anyway ( eventually! ).

Same to you, adnohr. Yes, a cute and colorful tale for a bleak winters day, one that my friends and I still laugh about all these years later! Glad you liked this story.

Re:
It really was, Utah. It's a shame that, as adults, we really can't engage in such shenanigans anymore! Or can we . . . ?

Re:
See, TAPS? Your heart was in the right place, and I'll bet he had more fun throwing snowballs at you than he did trying to make that snowman! Did you get the chance to "clear the air" later? Remember, he was innocent until proven guilty!

Re:
Same to you Sam. Yeah, I miss those days of snowball fights too. I guess it doesn't look very mature anymore to see a bunch of 50-year-old's throwing snowballs at each other! Aah, to be young again . . .

Re: Jimmy
That it was, Naut, coupled with incredible timing, and aim! Luckily the only damage done was to my friend's pride, but I think that only lasted about five seconds! Hey, we were just kids!

Re: The laughing kids reminds me of a bit from The Simpsons
That's the way it is with kids, Ciel. While an adult might have run out immediately to see if my friend was okay, we kids just had to stand there and laugh first! I'm sorry, but it was really, really funny!

There was a little boy out in the yard trying to make a snowman and not doing too good as the snow was not sticking together well. I could tell he was very disappointed. So I taunted him with "Bet you can't hit me with a snowball." He perked right up and forgot all about his terrible snow man and put all of his efforts into throwing snow at the old lady. His mother came out and scolded him and he was trying to explain that it was my fault when I drove off. LOL
