Re: Opinions

That's an excellent opinion, my friend.  And no, it doesn't make me think you're cynical at all. I agree with you on some level but would probably disagree on the money bit: I think down right POLITICS are more powerful than monetary value.  They want to control the people and control of the emotions is that way.  They really don't even need money to do this--it's only a tool. But we're both seeing more clearly than many in our opinions. Ya know? Thanks

Very interesting indeed, but of course, I have a different twist on all of this. Science and medical technology have done some wonderful and amazing things over the past 50 years or so, but I have to believe that, no matter what, money and finances will always dictate the possible outcomes. I honestly don't believe that the CEO's of the various pharmaceutical companies really want those in the medical profession to cure anything. They would more than likely rather have those same scientists and doctors find a way for people to simply "live" with their various afflictions, because the money is made with the medications, not the cures. And because of over-population and our already over-burdened health insurance system, I don't think they would want the average life-span to jump from about 78 years to 100 either! Obviously I hope I'm wrong in all of this, but from everything I've heard or read over the past couple of years, that seems to be a fairly accurate description of what's been happening. Believe me, I'm not a cynic, but rather a realist. And today, it appears that money is the only realism many people will subscribe to. Just my opinion . . .

It is indeed very fascinating.
