they say when legend is more popular than the facts or truth then the legend becomes the truth!

Re: JimmyA,

They say that a lot, but it isn't true: the winners write the school books.  Everyone writes history, especially the losers. It helps balance their sense of the injustice of it all.  And rumor doesn't care about historical accuracy--if it's juicy, it gets around!

As they always say, history is written by the winners. It seems somewhat disturbing to have such deeds eulogized in song, and somewhat confusing as well. Have a wonderful Christmas!

For some reason I can no longer get YouTube to load on my pc.  It has nothing to do with the sound system, but it is annoying.  So I've been listening to NPR or CD/VCR's while I blog.  I did read your comments on this post though.

Unfortunately I've lost the sound sound, and I couldn't listen to it...

Re: BC-A,

my most favorite Christmas album of all time!  My son downloaded it (for $10) and we have been listening to it a lot!

Re:Hey, Majroj!

I know what you mean.  They make the song lovely, even if the topic is horrific.

Good for your daughter!  I don't do FaceBook... I recommend, with only a few reservations, Flickr for photo storage and showage.

Happy Yule to Y'all!

Re: Love the KIngston Trio even if the song is of something horrific.

That would have been hard news to squelch, I think.

PThank you for both the song and the Kingston Trio. That kind of folk I like better than country. And this one’s so meaningful love. BC-A, Bill’s R®st

Why is it...

The words "horriffic" and "Kingston Trio" just don't go together? I mean, they did the theme for Gilligan's Island.

Best of the season to you!

PS: my duaghter has approriated my wife's DSLR and is showing some of her stuff on Picky Photography on facebook.

Love the KIngston Trio even if the song is of something horrific.

Perhaps some one removed all evidence of such an event...happens all the time.
