That donation sounds an excellent idea. It is probably not a good idea to
say to someone who gets pleasure from giving to you to say no. I am sure they don't expect you to give to them...unless you wish to do the same...give to a charity in their name. Everyone who loves you know's how difficult it is for you to shop and post and all.

I think you've already hit on the solution. If she was going to spend the money anyway, a donation of any size to an animal shelter in your name is a wonderful idea. But I know what you mean concerning the guilt of receiving certain gifts from certain people. I would suggest making the effort to finally get her gifts out to her, and then hope that, as long as the final solution is mutual, no feelings need be hurt.
