Glad I returned to Blogit (I've only been away a month).  I would not have wanted to miss the bloom, but especially this poem!  Really lovely...hauntingly beautiful.  The best I have ever read of yours.

If it's any help, I felt old in my 30s.

Now, when I feel old, I think... twenty years from now, I'll be wishing I could be this age again!

Re: well yes dear CC the years march on. how sad your poem and what a Christmas

Sadness is relative to what might have been Kabu. things could always have been worse, the wheel turns slowly. The flower was in my greenhouse saved by low heat, I wish you could have a greenhouse but I fear the wind and the cold would make it impractical.

Re: ChiffChaff

Yes one has to look at things in perspective Wiley. Can't stay sad for long.
