Many things could cause it, but I am glad he has good neighbors who would help him fix it. It would seem from some of your blogs, that there are some criminally inclined people in that area. I would like to try one of his cookies.

How very unsettling for him, nasty business that. We don't decorate much at Christmas because we have the highway at the foot of the driveway and there are lot's of nuts here as well.No sense attracting them.

I don't understand it either....maybe they can't stand that someone brings happiness or maybe they are so full of jealousy they do that....who knows but it is a shame...kudos to his neighbors for helping him clean...

That was a beautifully decorated scape, I hate for people to be destructive. I cannot understand it.

I don't think anyone will fully understand mindless vandalism. That's really a shame. Glad to hear that his neighbors helped him out.

Awww. Wouldn't you like to confront this person and ask 'Why???'. Yes, the neighbors save the day by being so helpful to clean up.

. Don't hear of it very often.though.
Lets hope it was just a casual action that was not meant to destroy but went wrong.

It's just this impulse that brought Dr. Seuss' Grinch to popularity.
Misery loves company. And there's a certain stage between 12 and 20 where any chance to go against tradition is a challenge that can't be ignored. I'm sorry your friend's joy was co-opted, but he'll get the best revenge: he'll have a wonderful Christmas anyway, thanks to warmhearted others.

That's very sad! And obviously it was an adult with some kind of 'political' motive, rather than merely a stupid kid...Nice though that the neighbours helped him...
