I understand what you're saying, but unfortunately, stiffer penalties will probably not suffice. Guns and alcohol are probably on the same level playing field in as far as how they are treated and handled by responsible people. Aah, but therein lies the rub . . . responsible people! Before trying to restrict gun sales and increasing the penalties and fines for driving while intoxicated, first we must focus on correcting the "idiocy" problem currently flowing throughout our society right now. You hear the ads that claim "Guns don't kill people . . . people kill people." Well, that needs to be amended to "Guns don't kill people . . . stupid people kill people." Welcome to America . . .
