And how sad is it that they try to change the meaning behind the Day? I'm with you, an old fashioned Christmas when Santa had a bright cherry red nose and everyone said Merry Christmas with a sparkle in their eyes.

i was thinking the other day Taps I think I like figs in preference to most fruit, but I have never had a figgy pudding, I usally buy mine in sealed packets from the cake shelf not those crushed dried ones. Of course one must not overindulge remembering 'Syrup of figs ' .

Enjoy your Christmas in any era you choose. It is your joy of the reason for it's existance anyway. George is doing all those songs now and I love them so much.Merry Christmas

"Vintage" is the right word, and you should never deviate from that! What you like, what you're used to, whatever gives you the greatest comfort and joy . . . that's what you should stick to! Viva la vintage!
