And how sad is it that they try to change the meaning behind the Day? I'm with you, an old fashioned Christmas when Santa had a bright cherry red nose and everyone said Merry Christmas with a sparkle in their eyes.

i was thinking the other day Taps I think I like figs in preference to most fruit, but I have never had a figgy pudding, I usally buy mine in sealed packets from the cake shelf not those crushed dried ones. Of course one must not overindulge remembering 'Syrup of figs ' .

"Vintage" is the right word, and you should never deviate from that! What you like, what you're used to, whatever gives you the greatest comfort and joy . . . that's what you should stick to! Viva la vintage!
