Well responded. That's what I was looking for, Kat.

Re: faith

Faith in a higher principle or power is good. But to abuse that faith--as in believing the higher principle or power will provide, even in small matters--and have none in yourself or fellowman is a bit extreme...don't ya think?

Re: confusion??

...I agree with some of that. But I believe church (Chatacism, Confirmation and such) is only there to establish a form of morality--just like the military. To dwell on it (or question) is the same as not believing in their way.

A lack of confidence or a lack of faith can have adverse affects on anyone, whether you're religious or not. Believing in yourself, and your abilities, can go a long way to overcoming most adversities. I was raised Catholic, and was "forced" to go to eight years of Chatacism, did my stint as an alter boy, made my Confirmation and Communion . . . and then never went to church again! Instead of answering any questions I may have had about God, religion and the universe, all those eight years did was make me even more confused! Years later, on my own, I joined a Christian Brothers Fellowship that was actually more theology than religion, and I must say I learned more in those two years than I did in the eight years of Chatacism. Some of that I attribute to the fact that I was more mature and thus more open to learning of such things. But even with that, there are certain aspects of Christianity that are still confusing . . .
