It would be so fun to sit with you in the audience and watch your son in a Shakespeare play.

Love it, and love Shakespeare - as far as I am concerned, we all should speak like that, always, declaring ourselves in well-formed sentences, sonorously uttered, at least by the gentlemen, the ladies should speak in the dulcet tones of nightingales...

Re: JimmyA,
I highly recommend those two Branaugh productions I mentioned, for first tries. And Mel Gibson did a HAMLET I really liked. Glenn Close was in it, too. And Ian Holm.
But I'd start with the comedy: MUCH ADO...

Re: CCT,
I suspect in Shakespeare's own day, they were pretty baudy and played it for the laughs. And, of course, for them, everyone was talking normally.

Re:Pat,
These are college kids, some of whom did some theater work in high school, and a few have done a lot here at UCCS, and some, none at all before this.

Re: Adnohr,
Maybe even by tomorrow. He has another show tonight, or... I might have to figure out how to do it myself!

I think anyone, regardless of their age, who can pull of any Shakespearean roll or performance deserves all the credit in the world! Believe it or not, I'm one of those people who knows of Shakespeare, but has never actually read any of his works! It's on my bucket list!

Probably more fun than the actual original play. I would imagine that half those who watched did not understand what was going on.

I really enjoy high school plays - sometimes you get a look at
a future star! And even if they never go on to professional acting, they're bringing a lot of life and joy to the lives of the players and the audience. It's all good.

It would be nice to attend, but am too far away. I will check the video when you get it up - I enjoy plays, and you've made this one sound like a 'do-not-miss'.
