Doggie cartwheels? Now that must have been a sight!  And believe it or not, I actually know someone who lives ( or lived ) in Nova Scotia, in a town I believe called Mount Hanley. We lost contact with each other at least 25 years ago though . . .

Well Naut as yo may well know Winnie was was not very popular in his younger days.

I suppose he may have taken solace, if the opportunity arose . But of course that was before probably years before 39.

It sounds like a nice trip you had there. You sure did a lot on it.

I like reading about someone else's travels. I used to like road trips.

But that was then. I look at the travel shows, visits to Ireland and Switzerland and all the great cities of Europe, and it's all fine, seeing the forests and mountains, etc. And then they start talking about the cuisine, showing the food, and I wish I could taste just one little bite... sip one little taste of some exquisite wine. And I love mysteries, so I'm pondering whether "the girls" are nieces, grandchildren or family pets. Nice! Cozy.

I have never been down that way without enjoying myself thoroughly. I find the people are so friendly and down-home; it's as if they've let the modern rat-race run right by them with a scratch to the head and a 'Well, lookee there!!' I take it that 'the girls' are either cats or dogs?

I like road trips, and took one myself of some considerable distance, but coming home is always the best, and love that Ben did dogie cartwheels, as did my cat Crybe. I have never seen a cat so happy. Of course I promised never to leave again, and of course she purred. I have so enjoyed these posts.

The birthday of Son #1 is December 22 and he keeps bringing up the subject of "will he have a BD at all this year, or ever again."  He isn't really worried about it but he does like to study on it and keep up with what's going on.  I think I won't go to the trouble of baking or buying a cake for him.  LOL.  Did the Mayans have birthday cakes?
