Perhaps one should consider if they wanted the little warders in the first place Pat. I think some do that these days, once there was not much choice. My granny had nine children and I do not think she had ever washed a floor over before she was married.The poem was great though.

In some ways you're alluding to the human condition, the ways in which we are always and inexorably 'bound', and even that 'freedom' is, for the most part, an illusion, never more powerfully, more strongly held than in late childhood and adolescence...But of course, there are degrees...
