Re:
There sure are, mariss. Yeah, I know, a few of them were silly, but the overall gratefulness was genuine, especially for my wife!

Thank you, luster. It was a wonderful day. And needless to say, I meant every word of my wife's tribute! I am a lucky man!

Re:
Thanks so much, Utah. My wife and I had a nice day. And we chose to spend the day looking at each other instead of looking towards the skies! E.T. stay home!

Re: Jimmy
Actually, Naut, for certain things, we should be grateful all year round! But having a special day to do it just makes it a little better. Yes, it's nice not being allergic to our pets, isn't it?

Re: what a lovely and loving post. May I just say that I am thank ful that you
And I you, Kabu! I know the Thanksgiving festivities are different up there in the Great White North, but the sentiments are probably the same! Yes, much to be thankful for . . .

A great post! Yes, I too must be thankful for everything you mentioned - all I need to add that I'm thankful for not being allergic to my doggie! (I should also mention that here in Canada we were thankful some time ago already, but I don't mind, I'm happy to be thankful again...)

Re:
Thanks, C C T, and yes, it is a good way of preparing. I may have a few negative attributes ( can anyone honestly say they don't? ) but ingratitude isn't one of them. I really am thankful for a lot!

Thanks, FSI, although I must admit a few of those were strictly off-the-cuff! Just having a little fun . . .

Yep, that's me TAPS! It's takes very, very little to make me happy. And with my wife by my side, I am abundantly blessed . . . !

Boo hoo we don't celebrate that day, I suppose it is swings and roundabouts. It used to be a bit of envy when we watched the Scots go back home to celebrate New Year.
Anyway I hope all you guys, have a real good time, counting your blessings beforehand is a really good way of preparing.
