Marrise pear trees should not be pruned hard, I have several and hardly touch them nor plum trees, apples need keeping in check. Once there was a disease in a certain variety of pear, everyone was supposed to destroy these trees. I just let mine stand and had the most delicious pears. Marisse you cannot better an English pear, it is just dripping with juice. Lovely poem well done.

My father wrote a poem about Heaven and Hell here on earth and how each life is touched by both...Your sun will rise again and again.
