Priorities! Priorities! Clear that table for dinner! As for those "finds," hey, ya never know! It may not hurt to have an actual appraisal done someday . . .

It is neat to think of all of the history behind antiques.

I wonder how the baby much enjoyed that Xmas tree. To the dear little ones everything is new all the time for them. My mother was like your son. Actually it drove me crazy and I am not over it yet. Love ya, Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!

Yes Taps I bought six copper kettles thinking they would bring in a small fortune in about 30 years time and now no one wants them. When one sees paintings being sold for millions, one wonders if the one that is falling to bits on the wall is one of the highly prized ones.

Baby's first Christmas tree. Sweet picture.
Antiques Road Show - and people who never get rid of things - that's familiar territory. I often wish I still had the comic books we had when I was a kid. We had a stack that was knee high, kept in the closet, and when my grownup brother-in-law and sis came to visit, he'd leave the women to talk and settle in with the superheroes and the hulk and Archie, Betty and Veronica. It'd be worth something now, that collection.

LOL - love the baby's expression and how you described her thoughts! Christmas trees fascinate from beginning to end; from the first 'don't touch' to the 'wow! Is that the way they decorate nowadays?'
Your son is not alone in his venture - I have friends who are forever searching for the 'find'. It's more amusing to read what you write about it than standing there for hours while they go through stuff!

LOL! I too watch that show (otherthan some food shows and Mythbusters its one of the few I do watch pretty regularly), and I too have the idea that I have a few items that must be worth a fortune, and I'm waiting for them to come to Toronto! What's more, I sometimes stop by garage sales to find a long-lost da Vinci or Picasso...
