I've read the Temple Grandin books and several others.  Very interesting subject because we all know someone who has autism in their family.

Autism can lead to genius. My neice is working with early intervention

helping to prepare Children for school and even going to the school and assisting as they adapt. her kids tend to do better over all than so called normal kids. She breaks through with enormous patience that inability to be tactile or to express love. Mothers just weep the first time the child hugs Mummy and says I love you.

I've seen interviews with Temple Grandin, and thought she was

genius, that her "disability" had given her insights beyond any we ordinary people could have imagined.
