It all starts with us. I hope that we can change things before it's too late.

I understand what you're saying, but the problem is, even without the carrot, the carriage is getting heavier and heavier to pull! Cutting off the head to cure the headache is never the solution of course, but sound leadership can move mountains. Will we ever have sound leadership again in our lifetime? The odds are now against it . . .

The biggest disaster to come, I think will be support for elderly people, i.e. medical care and pension, I believe it was about four taxpayers supporting one pensioner not so long ago the pensions were pretty poor by living standards. Everyone's expectation has risen but unfortunately those who provide the substance to honour the pensions are being depleted daily as the same people join the ranks. Unfortunately we really need full employment. All countries will need this to support older generations, but where will the employment materialise, is has to provide actual cash to benefit anyone at all. Of course in time, for example when you draw your pension you may not get cash, it will be an allotment of groceries defined by the big robots with other allowances  according to your worth in society.

I think my horse days are about over.  Can't I just be an old kitty cat?
