It angers and saddens me that people are too busy or just too selfish to remember the real reason for the Christmas celebrations anymore. It's about the birth of the Holy Child, who came to a humble virgin and a lowly carpenter...it is NOT about the things we can give to or get from one another.
Blessed was the fruit of her womb.

No, I can't see Chinese food for Thanksgiving either, but as you say, to each his own! Gingerbread pancakes? Now those I can sink my teeth into! And yes, I too hate the "Buy! Buy! Buy!" advertising we're now going to be inundated with for the next month! I'm really looking forward to December 26th!
