Hi .. I don't remember that blogger but there was a girl from Seattle WA who had a breakdown here on Blogit but again I don't remember her name. Her's was a very sad departure. These are names that I once thought would never be forgotten.

???? IDK ????

There's much to be said about both sides of the fence. I voted for Obama in his first election and his second term, but, I had some reservations this time around. I listened to what romney was saying, and he made sense in many ways. I was on the fence for a little bit. This is what swayed me. Many of you may not like it, as it really wasn't based on the state of the economy, or healthcare, or many of the other issues that people are talking about, but honestly, it's what swayed my vote. My children are bi-racial and for them to see a bi-racial president gave them hope that they too could someday reach for higher acheivements in life. I know, it's simplistic and totally selfish, but I look forward to a woman president someday, or God forbid(dripping with sarcasm), an openly gay president. I think all Americans should be able to go to the top regardless of sex, race, sexual orientation, or religious affiliations. We are a melding pot country, made up of so many different backgrounds, that to exclude anyone born and raised as a citizen is criminal, to me.

Is there a middle ground to be won? I certainly don't want to see any rioting going on anywhere, but we certainly can't keep operating this way either. The Founding Fathers must look down upon this country as if it were a new den they all pitched in to build, paint and decorate, only to have a bunch of children charge in with fingerpaint, glue and Play-Do, and almost completely destroy it! We all need a good spanking!

Wiley, has O been lying? I certainly hope so. AQ is out for revenge.

I hope she is doing good. There are plenty of those bittersweet memories! A few days after joining - one of those 'BIG WARS' broke out and left me wondering what I'd gotten into . Then, it soon became clear that Blogit had many warriors & many peacemakers.

I don't even want to think about another round of elections for a while....I've had more than my fair share of listening to the whining and complaining ever since the republicants lost....

good sensible post.... Both Canada and Australia have health care for all

long way from perfect and it means extra tax and waiting for non urgent surgery but I would prefer it to how it used to be I believe. All the best to you all as you sort out the next years

Hi .. I tend to agree with your assessment. It bothers me that some tend to make statements that apply to all getting goveernment help as free loaders. I know people who are barely holding on to there homes because of lost jobs or jobs with lower wages and without food stamps they would not be able to wait for better times to keep their homes and feed their families. I personally think Romney would have made changes to streghthen the economy but understand why people were afraid of how the Republican Party and Romney were presented.

Thank you for supporting my blogs even when my responses are slow. My health issues are improving and I should be up to speed soon!

If there weren't such a profit motive in the health care / insurance /

pharmaceutical industry, it wouldn't put us in the poorhouse to get an appendix out without insurance. Single-payer health care works for Canada. It could work here.

As for the Tea Party, they want the ignorant old times when women couldn't vote and weren't even considered persons. Man and wife were one, and the one was him...  Those fanatics are just about as forward looking as the Islamists who want only men to have a say, and no women to be educated.

I know we all have to pay for it, but health care if not abused was a wonderful conception
