Re: Dsm
Well sir the relatives to whom I refer were butchers by trade as a lad I used to walk into the old slaughterhouse which was the stone building with a tin roof and kind of cobbled floor to drain the blood away I expect. Of course with an animal such as the deer it is usual to eviscerate on site as the meat might taint, well that is still the practise here.
Re poaching.
The bobbies the local rozzers the old Bill in those times followed the blood spots dropped from the horse and cart for many miles, had their suspicions, but were probably frustrated by the little village road that flooded quite often and even in those days one needed evidence.

Re: Lovely flower.
All becoming more crowded Pat well we are builders are trying to buy houses with larger plots to rebuild more houses on the same ground. I expect a cull on the deer will be called for soon as in some places they are jumping into gardens.

Re: adnohrt
That was quite a respectable occupation, the moon was a ghostly Galleon riding a stormy sea when the highway man came riding. very romantic. I expect one could have been hanged for stealing a pheasant here a few hundred years ago. It did not stop me when I was a lad. Well that was a while ago.

No Wiley they sailed across before evidence could be proved against them. That's the way to do it,

Hahah for the poem. A change of tune from the last one to be sure!
Pretty flower, and I guess we have something in common - one of my ancestors was hung as a highwayman. Hmm..come to think of it, poaching deer is not quite the same, is it?

Oh that beautiful flower. It is so exciting to have the little deer there. That is payback for the horrible law that said you could not have the deer in the first place. Yes I loved the poem too.

Amazing CCT, some of my ancestors were sent to Australia for being suspected of being my ancestors, or taking a file home in their lunch box or something like that. Not a paper file CCT, a metal file.

Lovely flower.
It seems the deer population and the human population are sharing the same habitats all around the world. Cute bit of versification, too. I really enjoyed it. :)
