Things are different in Australia...much more simple and definitely less
costly. We have regular elections but if the party is doing their job they can keep on being voted into power. Mostly the people will decide that 12 years is long enough, time to give the other bloke a go. We have 6 weeks of electioneering then the election and that is all we can stand. ...and if someone has a big sporting historical win, we forget about the politicians altogether.

I myself support term limits and not only for the presidency but for the house, senate and may other local positions. I would like to see new blood coming in. I do believe that a lot can happen in four or eight years. It depends though on what the makeup is of the house and the senate.
