It was an observation I made as I carried a foil-covered plate of cookies to the car one morning on my way to work. I'd seen this bird tweak bits of foil from a string one neighbor had tied above some plants to keep the birds from eating the sprouting seedlings. I've seen people shake their fists at birds for doing what birds do in a shared habitat, and this little bit was my idea of what the bird was thinking. No doubt they are more elegant and less judgmental than my conjecture. :)

LOL! Blackbird casting aspersions on a woman's sexual preferences is certainly a new and fun twist on the complex relationship we have with our fine, feathered friends...Is this the beginning (or part) of another story? I'm looking forward to it...

Lovely blog Pat I can't remember if it is the Magpie that loves shiny things and puts them in its nest. Perhaps it is jackdaws they are black.
