Sad about those birds, they trying to get away from the cold to warmer places and dying on the way - sounds like an epic movie CC. Loved your poem and was just thinking how children are weaned away from their comfort zones sometimes.

Sad. a child's needs are so minimized so young
as if they are nothing but a nuisance, an obligation, something to be handed off to someone underpaid and unrespected.
