Memories

As I age, I believe that memory becomes very 'selective'.  We keep what is pleasant and  leave, at least some of the more sorrowful, memories behind in order to survive.   It is by no means a clear and concise record of the past.  I often wish I had kept a daily diary over the years, but then, maybe I would not want to remember some of the things recorded there...

Great art work there and you drew the past into the present a pixel at a time.

The way in which those stories are told has changed a lot due to technology.

Life is all about memories saved in the brain to retrieve anytime we want.

I don't know, UtahJay....my young lads, even into video and TV as they are, still love to sit and hear a good story. Maybe it depends on how much time the story teller spends with the child...or if the child is used to being babysat by a TV..... The poem is very good.

The old days of tales around the hearth will never be the same Jay it was how history was passed down as you know in the old tribes.

It's cool having all that techknowlagy in the palm of my hand and yet, being a poet, I prefer things of the heart.
